Daniel de Carvajal was a commercial and private airline pilot as well as held leadership roles at General Electric and Hawkerbeechcraft before becoming a serial entrepreneur, with several global business launches and angel projects.
Luis Martin Lazaro has successfully led various tech companies and been an advisor to tech start-ups. He specializes in mentoring multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, marketing professionals, lawyers and economists. Martin Lazaro has worked in the public sector in Spain and Latin America in business and project financing.
He holds a law degree from the University Carlos III de Madrid and Georgetown University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain.
Jesus Santana Garcia spent ten years at Grupo de Empresas 2LC and 2LR Gestion where also was a Board member before joining Trappit. Previously, Jesus was a Senior Advisor for Arthur Anderson and Deloitte in the financial services area and capital markets, his principal client being Grupo BBVA auditing their mutual funds and management.
Mr. Santana Garcia has a law degree from the University Carlos III de Madrid.
Angel G. Maroto is responsible for sales, business development, marketing and operations functions for Trappit in the United States and Canada.
Prior to his current position with Trappit, he served as Vice President and General Manager for American Express Commercial Card division for over five years. Earlier roles with American Express in the merchant business include Vice President, Client Management in the U.S. and Country Manager for Spain. Angel also held numerous leadership roles in both the U.S. and Spain with Cigna Insurance and Citibank.
Angel holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Marketing from the I.E.S.E. Universidad de Navarra in Barcelona, Spain, completed a Master’s in Business Administration Exchange Program at the Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago, U.S., and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Complutense University in Madrid, Spain.
He is currently a Board member for the non-for-profit organization Refugees Soccer and a member of Laguna Beach Art Museum advisory council. He is a former Board member of Servired – largest Spanish Payment network- and the California Business Travel Association. A native of Spain, Angel has been a resident of California with his family for the past decade.
Manuel Martinez was the Vice President of Human Resources at American Express, Europe and the Vice President of Human Resources at AstraZeneca in Spain before joining Trappit.
He holds a law degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, a Degree in Criminology from Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from the Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain.
Manuel is a Board member, Secretary and Advisor to the “Foundation for Commitment and Transparency government”.
Before joining Trappit, Jose Luis Martin was an independent consultant for companies like Schneider Electric, Nextel Engineering, Tecsidel, Tecnica Proyectos (TYPSA) and Machmind S.L. He is an active member of the Open Source community working with JDAL, TILA, and Corvina.
He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla and has more than ten years of experience in open source technology (Java, C, C++) under GNU Linux operating system.
Rafael has an Economic degree and a Master’s in Business Administraion from the Universidad Complutense School of Business in Madrid, Spain. Rafael has developed his professional career at large corporations (Repsol and Santander) where he was a senior leader in Audit, Sales and General Services. Rafael was Corporate Director at Santander Bank (2008-2016) where he was responsible for Corporate Business Travel.
Alfredo Garcia holds a PhD in Economics from the University Complutense de Madrid and is a Statistics and Econometrics professor at the same University. He is been advisor for several businesses (pyckio.com, Aegon, El Corte Inglés, Quantum Econometrics) and the Central Bank of Uruguay.
His research in economics and statistics has been published in many mathematical and business journals such as International Journal of Forecasting, Mathematics and Computer in Simulation or Computational Statistics.
As Director Trappit’s Spanish Operations, Carmen Martinez brings more than 10 years of experience in travel operations and manages Trappit’s daily interactions with corporations and travel agency partners on use of ARPO software system.
Martinez holds a Degree in Travel and Tourism from FORCEM and IMEFE.
